ABOUT ME

I am Ivana Ajduković, I hold a master’s degree in economics, but I have been translating for 16 years and have been a sworn certified court interpreter for the English language for 14 years. Areas in which I have the most experience are economics/business, construction/civil engineering, medicine and law. I have translated and am translating documents for various Croatian and international translation agencies, and for known institutions such as the World Bank, Port of Rijeka Authority, Ministry of Science and Education, University of Split – Faculty of Science and for renowned companies such as Bagatin Clinic, A1 Croatia, Alianz Croatia, Gavrilović d.o.o., HŽ Cargo d.o.o., Phoenix farmacija d.o.o., Knauf Croatia, Investinženjering d.o.o., as well as for various estate agencies, notaries public, attorneys at law and natural persons.

CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS

A certified translation is an official and legally valid translation of any type of document from the source to the target language, certified by a sworn court interpreter with his/her seal and signature. Translations of documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, diplomas, report cards, certificates of no criminal record, excerpts from companies registers etc. are usually those that require such certification. The certification of a sworn court interpreter guarantees the equivalency of the original and translated documents in terms of content, style and terminology.

REGULAR (UNCERTIFIED) TRANSLATIONS

An uncertified translation is a translation of any text from the source to the target language that does not contain the certification, seal and signature of a sworn court interpreter. Uncertified translations are those usually required for general texts such as texts for websites, promotional materials, letters, reports, CVs, books, tourist brochures, etc.

INTERPRETING (CONSECUTIVE)

Consecutive interpreting is done in such a manner that the speaker talks in the source language and pauses, and the interpreter then translates the spoken content into the target language. Interpretation is most often done at meetings, workshops, conferences etc. At certain events involving foreign citizens who do not speak Croatian, the presence of a sworn certified court interpreter for provision of interpretation is legally required, e.g. when marrying at registry offices, during court proceedings, at public notaries offices, at any event requiring the presence of the police (e.g. traffic accidents, disturbance of public order and peace, etc.).

WHY TRAGURIUM TRANSLATIONS?

WHAT DO YOU GET BY COOPERATING WITH ME?

EXCELLENT QUALITY TRANSLATIONS

If you entrust the translation of your documents to me, you can be certain that you will get a professional and quality translation. In the process of translation, I completely dedicate myself to each text, study the terminology of the subject matter and its context, and check the spelling and grammar several times before finally sending the translation to the client.

SWIFTNESS AND PUNCTUALITY

In my work I use the latest technology i.e. the CAT (computer-assisted translation) tool which has long ago become the standard in the translation industry – SDL Trados Studio; more specifically, its most recent version, Trados Studio 2021. This tool has multiple benefits for both the client and the translator, primarily related to saving time required for translation and consistency in the use of terminology.

PROOFREADING BY A NATIVE SPEAKER (FREE OF CHARGE)

To guarantee the best quality of my every translation from Croatian into English, such translations will be reviewed by a native English speaker before final submission to the client. In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), I will anonymize i.e. remove any personal data from any such document before sending it to be reviewed by the native speaker. Proofreading by a native speaker is completely free of charge for you as a client.
